Living villages · made in the village
We support projects in villages that bring abandoned land back into use, create work for local people and keep their traditions alive. You can sponsor them and buy the artisan products they make themselves, such as olive oil or honey, straight from the people who make them.
They are made by the projects themselves, by hand, from what they grow, raise or gather. Nothing bought for resale is sold here: every purchase means work for the village.
Many villages are emptying out. Fields are abandoned, the hillside closes in and trades, crops and ways of working the land handed down for generations are lost with them.
Every sponsorship and every purchase pays for real work in the village:

It depends on the project: a tree, a plot, a beehive or part of the restoration work. Each project page explains what you sponsor and what you receive.

Yes. When you sponsor, mark it as a gift, write a message and choose whether we email the card on a date or you hand it over yourself.
The projects themselves, in their village, from what they grow, raise or gather. Nothing bought for resale is sold on Apadriname: each project declares that its products are its own production.
Many projects organise visits and workdays. When dates are available, you will find them on each project page.
